Why a ministry to help missionaries
and pastors? I guess the answer to that question could be found
in the Scripture that says, “Mine eyes have
affected my heart.”
Dr. Johnson and Judy have been privileged to
take three mission trips to South America where they held missionary
retreats and counseled with the missionaries one-on-one. It gave
them a tremendous burden for the need they experienced among our
missionaries.
The same is true of our pastors and anyone in
ministry in this country. Satan delights in weakening the ministry
of pastors and missionaries. Dr. Johnson says, "We want
to provide a safe haven where they can come for counseling and
encouragement, where they can get one-on-one biblical counseling
on how to deal with their problems."
Dr. Johnson has a Master's degree and Doctor's
degree from Bethany Divinity and Bible College in Dothan, Alabama.
He has special training from NANC and has taken many special courses
geared specifically toward dealing with specific issues.
He has 23-years of counseling experience and
has dealt with numerous issues throughout the years. Having been
a pastor for 33-years, there are few problems within the church
that he has not dealt with. He is compassionate, understanding,
and firm on applying scriptural principles to problems that we
deal with on daily basis.
Since starting C.A.R.E. International
in July 2001, he has counseled over 100 couples with a tremendous
success rate.
C.A.R.E. International is equipped to provide
counseling in the following areas:
The Cost
There is no charge for the counseling as this ministry
is supported by many churches. However, there is a charge for food
and housing. We provide three meals a day and a nice comfortable
living quarters. This is provided at a cost of $100.00 per day.
